Almost all of us like to travel, either to long distances or short ones. Some of us like to explore remote destinations. It does not matter how far we decide to go, travel by itself can expand our minds, promote intercultural understanding, enrich our knowledge about the world, learn from others or make friends. The list of our gains can be long enough. However, the list of our pressure on the Mother Earth can be also long unless we adhere to the principles of sustainability, which means, while traveling we should avoid actions that might harm or deplete natural resources and do not hurt ecosystems. Moreover, as travelers we can contribute to conservation of cultural heritage using Do Not Harm Approach. Using this approach, wise travelers will create positive effect on the communities they visit and leave the place better than it was before or at least leave no trace after you.
